Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Management Accountant to be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schools with their financial management processes. 

You will be responsible for the day-to-day accounts within our centralised financial structure, ensuring that BPET’s finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a key role in the production of robust accounts, reporting on cashflow, monthly budget expenditure, forecasting, capital spend and scenario planning to support the trust's growth strategy.

You will also be responsible for the payroll, liaising with the outsourced payroll provider to ensure any queries are dealt with efficiently. Working closely with the Head Teacher and Office Manager to implement efficient and transparent financial controls and support them in their understanding of financial performance, forecasting and budget management. You will be responsible for line managing the Finance Assistants.
