BTEC Tutor (Level 3 extended diploma in performing arts: Musical Theatre)

Experience, knowledge and skills required:

• Knowledge in acting skills/ practitioners and musical theatre theory
• Ability to breakdown unit criteria and mark both essays and practical performances
• To be able to direct an in-house acting show and choose suitable material
• Teach musical theatre existing material from a show
• Able to use excel, Microsoft outlook, create PowerPoint presentations, etc
• Organised, good with deadlines

Essential requirements:

• Proven track record of working on BTEC courses
• Knowledge of BTEC assessment methodology & QA systems
• Teaching qualification such as a PCE, PGCE, CertEd, or teaching licence like QTS or QTLS

Working conditions:2 days per week based at our Guildford branch – Italia Conti Arts Centre

Start date:W/C 28th August – 3 month fixed term contract with potential conversion to permanent
