Gayhurst School is a successful and thriving co-educational day preparatory school for children aged 3-11 years. The School is divided into Nursery, Pre-Prep (incorporating EYFS) and Prep departments which are geographically separate on the one site situated on the edge of Gerrards Cross.

The Governing Board is seeking to appoint a high performing and strategic individual as Bursar and Clerk to the Governors who will play a key role in the overall management and development of the school.

Reporting to both the Head and the Chair of Governors, the principal objective of this role is to provide leadership and operational management in all areas of the non-educational aspects of the school including Finance, Estates, HR and Compliance, IT, Catering, Legal and Company Secretarial.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent commercial and financial ability. They will need to have previously led and managed a multi-disciplinary team and be able to demonstrate strong inter-personal and communication skills.

A proactive and collaborative approach coupled with a strong commitment to helping the school enable the pupils to reach their potential will be key to delivering within this position.

Previous experience of working in a school is not essential however they will need to demonstrate a strong interest in the education sector along with a desire to support the School’s educational aims and values.
