The school is fully co-educational from Nursery to Sixth Form and enjoys small classes, averaging approximately fifteen over the whole School. This role is an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Management Team of Ewell Castle School with responsibility for the day to day running and strategic development of all of the support aspects of the School. The current Bursar is retiring after 17 years of outstanding service and the Governors seek to appoint to this wide ranging role which encompasses all aspects of the life of the School.
The successful candidate will hold a relevant accounting qualification and have experience in leadership and management at senior management level. The ability to lead on all financial, health and safety and risk assessment matters is essential. Experience of premises development, buildings maintenance and working in an educational environment are desirable.
The Bursar/Business Manager works with the Principal and other members of the Senior Management Team to implement the strategic vision for the school, to ensure the school has a high profile in the community, to engage effectively with parents and other stakeholders and to assist in recruitment and retention through the continual improvement of standards and provision. The role requires a broad and up to date knowledge of the business management of an organisation as well as liaison with a range of professionals and agencies.
