Bredon School seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced person to the post of Bursar.
This is a significant role within a successful school with further plans to grow and develop.
We are looking for an energetic Bursar who can lead the next stage of operational development.
The Bursar is the school’s leading support staff professional. Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Bursar assists the Headmaster in his duty to ensure that the school meets its educational and financial aims:
- provide management of all financial matters within the school, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data and forecasting as necessary
- provide clear direction on all financial matters and work closely with the Headmaster to manage the school budget
- provide management and leadership to key support functions and enhance their effectiveness to support the teaching and learning objectives of the school and achieve efficiencies and improved standards of achievement
- ensure the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives
- manage finance, payroll, administration, buses and uniform
- provide management oversight of the facilities team and line manage the Assistant Bursar - Estates to ensure an excellent teaching and learning environment is maintained and developed
- manage the finance and office administration teams
