Situated in the picturesque village of Holyport, close to Windsor, Maidenhead and London, Holyport College is the country’s first state day and boarding free school and has Eton College as its sole education sponsor.
We are looking for a Bursar who will be experienced at working in a public or private sector organisation at senior level and will be prepared to lead, inspire and challenge.
Overall responsibilities are summarised as:
- leading and managing the business, premises and finance systems within Holyport College, ensuring best value in support of the College’s educational aims.
- providing a strategic lead for SLT and governors in respect of the business potential and related opportunities.
- line managing designated teams of support staff in pursuit of the College’s aims and targets.

Holyport College was founded under the Government’s free school programme as the UK’s first State Boarding free school and is a co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 11 – 19 years, providing an outstanding, all-round education, opening in 2014.
