The Headmistress and Council of Management at Upton House School are seeking to appoint an experienced individual to join this dynamic and thriving school as Bursar.
Upton House School is a co-educational day school for children aged 2-11 and is located in the heart of Windsor. Teaching is stimulating and forward-thinking and during the Covid19 lockdown Upton House School rapidly switched to online teaching and has offered a very full programme of lessons and support. As a result, it is in even greater demand and recognised as one of the leading prep schools in the area.
As a critical member of the senior leadership team the Bursar will report directly to the Headmistress. The Bursar is also responsible to the Chair of Governors in their role as Clerk to the Governors.
Candidates must have proven managerial experience at a senior level, superb communication and relationship building skills at all levels. They must also be able to demonstrate commercial acumen and expert management of the day-to-day operations and non-academic functions of the school. While previous experience in a school is not essential it is desirable. Strong financial and commercial skills are essential
We are looking for an individual who is a team player with enthusiasm, a sense of humour and a willingness to roll their sleeves up when necessary and fully engage with the school.

About Upton House School
Upton House School is a independent co-educational preparatory school in Windsor, Berkshire. The school was first opened in 1936, and is located on a one acre site in the centre of Windsor. In 2008 the two-storey facility Little Upton was opened, containing pre-nursery and nursery rooms with access to an outdoor play area. There are approximately 295 students on the school roll. Upton House is denominationally Christian, and is a registered charity.
