We are seeking a Bus Driver for casual driving duties before and after school hours and occasionally during school hours. An indication of the hours required each week is approximately 25 hours during the school term.

You should have a friendly, welcoming manner and an ability to work in collaboration with students as well as colleagues.

You will:
• have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic education
• Applicants must hold a current Paid Employee Positive Notice
Blue Card
• hold a minimum MR license.
• hold or be eligible to obtain a Driver Authorisation (refer QLD Department of Transport for details)

In addition, you may be required to assist with other duties such as grounds work and assisting to setup for school functions, or as directed by the Principal’s delegate.


To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Approx. 25 hours per week Term time

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: Service Staff Level 3 - $37.22 per hour (casual hourly rate)

Employment Conditions:  Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
