Economics

Economics is taught as an A level (AQA) in our Sixth Form where the vast majority of students gain grades A* to B.

Business Studies

Business Studies is a popular subject at Hadley for many students.

It is taught in years 10 and 11 as a GCSE and Level 2 BTEC qualification with a 100% pass rate. Business is also taught in our Sixth Form both as a Level 3 BTEC Single Certificate, and also as a Double Diploma course.

Finance

Finance is a valuable subject where our students learn about important money skills and its practical applications. At Hadley we follow the Finance programmes provided by the London Institute of Banking and Finance (LiBF). It is a successful subject and the programme taught in our Sixth Form is the Level 3 Certificate in Financial Studies.

We also teach Finance to our KS4 students who follow the Level 2 Award in Financial Education.

Many of our students choose to study Business related degrees in higher education. The excellent outcomes of the Business Department has enabled them to attend the best universities in the country to do this.

Some of our students have also secured higher level apprenticeships and placements in companies such as Ernst and Young, Deloitte and PWC.

We are an all-through family school, where children at every key stage from ages 2 to 19 learn well and make good progress.

We pride ourselves on being inclusive and championing the gifts and talents of every individual. The happiness, care, and wellbeing of all our children is central to our approach and enables everyone at Hadley to thrive in a safe and secure environment.

We have an established culture ofhigh expectations, where children are taught well and encouraged to develop both academically and culturally.  Having such a well-rounded learning experience is central to our purpose as it is this that enables our children to be aspirational for themselves, their families, and their community.  By nurturing a positive mindset, we build children’s confidence to be successful whichever path they choose.

Being an all-through school means that many children are with us for the majority of their formal education and do stay on into our very popular Sixth Form where each year, approximately 95% go onto university with 85% going to Russell Group and top third Universities which are some of the best in the world.
