About the role: LAT Enterprises CIC is enhancing the team to further support its mission of generating income and to raise income to enhance the education of students within Leigh Academies Trust. Consequently it is seeking to appoint a Business Development & Social Media Manager to join the team in September 2021.


The Business Development & Social Media Manager will play a key role, alongside colleagues from the wider Estates team, in the generation of income from the hiring of the Trust’s premises as well as other initiatives.


Key responsibilities include the following;

  • To manage and develop business opportunities and selling of our academies’ facilities and other services.
  • Managing and developing LAT Enterprises’ social media use to generate leads and raise the company’s profile.
  • Support in fundraising and ensure other income generating opportunities are maximised. To maintain current business and expand further, using a range of business development strategies, whilst continuing to generate new leads.

Being a part of Leigh Academies Trust: As of 1st September 2020, our Trust will comprise 28 geographically organised academies (11 secondaries, 15 primaries and 2 special) educating over 16,000 students, and employing over 2,500 talented staff.  We also have one further secondary academy in the development phase, due to open in September 2021.  The Trust is establishing four ‘clusters’ of academies: North West Kent; Central Kent; South East London; Medway. Leigh Academies Trust is one of the country’s largest and most-established multi-academy trusts operating across Kent, Medway and South East London. The Trust was formed in 2008 with the linking of the Leigh Technology Academy and Longfield Academy under one governing body.
