Job overview

Liverpool Hope University is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our team as the new Business Development Manager as we expand into the Degree Apprenticeships market.

In collaboration with the Director of Apprenticeships, who leads the University’s strategy for apprenticeship growth, the Business Development Manager will closely work with employer partners to understand their varied employment and skills development needs. The role involves helping employer partners make the most of their Apprenticeship Levy through tailored solutions that enhance their workforce, as well as building new partnerships with employers across diverse industries to broaden the University’s Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship portfolio.

You will ensure that the employer experience is positive and consistent across our Apprenticeship programmes and that their ongoing feedback drives continuous improvement. The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring Apprenticeship and Employer satisfaction is consistently high and that Employers are fully on board with the apprenticeship journey. You will collate success stories and be a positive advocate for Apprenticeships and the University.

We are looking for someone who brings up-to-date knowledge of apprenticeship requirements in Higher Education, including a thorough understanding of IfATE standards, the Apprenticeship Accountability Framework, and relevant funding mechanisms such as the Digital Apprenticeship Service. We welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate experience in these areas and who are committed to shaping a collaborative and inclusive apprenticeship journey.

This is a fixed term post for a period of three years.
