As a lecturer within the department you will have the opportunity to deliver across a range of Business disciplines including HR, Law, Marketing and Finance.    The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to the departments’ development, make significant contribution to the delivery of vocational Business courses from Level 1 to Level 3 and ensure accurate tracking and monitoring of learners through our centralised tracking software.  


As an inspirational lecturer, your excellent communication and teaching skills will enable us to support the needs of our region, and enable us to become instrumental in the development of the business skills for our future entrepreneurs


You should be either be a successful Business graduate, an experienced teacher or someone with industrial based experience in a Business, willing to undertake teacher training.  You may already have a rewarding career in Business or an outstanding education within the area and be looking for your next move into to a rewarding teaching career.

Halesowen College, in the West Midlands, is a mixed further education institution. It accepts students from the age of 16 and has around 4,200 learners in attendance. The college offers courses of study in 11 subject areas and partners with three local higher education institutions.

Founded in 1966, Halesowen College regularly places in the top 10% of colleges for the examination performance of its students. The college offers a high level of support for students transitioning from school to higher education via its university centre, and via its long-standing partnerships with the University of Worcester and Newman University.

Halesowen College aims to give students a sense of personal responsibility for their own education. It believes that this is a necessary part of becoming an adult, and that it is excellent practice for university life and the working world.

The college also believes in giving back to the community, through activities such as litter picking in the parks, raising money for local charities, and collecting for the Black Country Food Bank.
