SEK International School El Castillo is an innovative bilingual school offering the IB DP, MYP and PYP programmes on a beautiful campus in NW Madrid. We are seeking an experienced business management teacher.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach the IBDP Business Management (HL & SL) in English
  • Teach IBDP Business Management SL in English to students following the Spanish Bachillerato
  • Help drive improvement in the IB programmes through collaboration with other departments
  • Strengthen our approaches to teaching and learning in the IB Diploma
  • Help supervise students according to needs. Work with students on extended essays and IAs.
  • Attend IB, department meetings and support school events.

 Position Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of teaching experience in Business Management
  • IB Diploma experience
  • Bachelor degree and recognised teaching qualification
  • Fluent English speaking or at least C1
  • Team player and student centred

Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo is situated in Villafranca del Castillo, in Northwest Madrid, Spain. It educates girls and boys from the age of zero to 18 years old. It is a mainstream, all-through, independent educational establishment. It is a bilingual school as the students are taught through the medium of Mandarin Chinese and English. The children are able to achieve the International Baccalaureate Diploma from attending the Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo.

Values and Vision

Colegio Internacional SEK-EI Castillo aims to give students a fun and enriching school experience. They are taught skills that will help them develop and live in the constantly changing, modern world. The children are encouraged to have an open-mind and have a caring attitude towards others. They should have personal, academic, physical and emotional development from attending the school. Extra-curricular activities are available and the children are encouraged to take advantage of them. They can do drama, arts and crafts, sports, including chess, taekwondo, swimming, tennis and soccer. The aim is to make sure every pupil leaves the school with excellent knowledge of English and Mandarin Chinese. The hope is for them to gain employment skills. Class sizes are smaller than average. The aim of this is to make sure every student gains a one-to-one education when they need it most. Speech therapy is also available to help the pupils develop even further. These therapy sessions are called the Star Program and are on offer for pupils of all ages.
