King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) invites applications for the post of Business Manager from highly motivated and organised individuals with energy and vision to join our brand new all-through, 3-18 Academy, opening in Bracknell Forest in September 2018. We are looking for an experienced candidate who can provide strategic vision, leadership and drive clear policies and procedures in all aspects of academy business administration including Finance, HR, Estates Management, Safeguarding, Health & Safety and income generation especially through lettings.

King’s Academy Binfield has already attracted outstanding founding teaching staff and leaders who take up appointment from September. Our successful candidate will work with the Principal to ensure we continue to develop innovative ways to recruit excellent new staff - teaching and support - as the academy rapidly grows in the coming years.

The school will open in a superb new building in September 2018 with 120 in Year 7, closely followed by nursery provision in January 2019, and will grow year on year to a roll of over 1800 students, aged 3-18. The primary phase and a specialist resource provision is coming on board from 2019, along with Amen Corner North (ACN), a primary school a mile away.

As a new build, KAB will enjoy outstanding facilities, both internally and externally. Part of the role will be to enhance academy finance income generation aligned to the benefit of the local community.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate high impact in leading and managing school business, financial, premises, HR, administrative and IT provision. As well as being solution-focused, they will be emotionally intelligent; understanding the importance of strong relationships with excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.

Candidates will need to demonstrate that they:

· Excel in financial management and be a confident leader and team player

· Have highly effective interpersonal and team skills

· Have significant relevant experience

· Hold a relevant degree, professional accountancy qualification or be working toward one (desirable)

· Be an innovative and strategic thinker with vision and ideas

· Have excellent communication and presentation skills

As a new and rapidly growing school, this is a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilful leader who can bring creativity, innovation and dynamism.

KAB and ACN are part of the King’s Group Academies MAT led by a team of former and current Ofsted "outstanding" headteachers and Her Majesty's Inspectors (HMI).  Please note link to King’s Group Academies Vision and Mission - https://kingsacademies.uk/about-us/vision-and-mission/

KGA has at its core the pursuit of the very highest standards both inside the classroom and beyond. We believe all students can exceed their expectations no matter what their prior attainment and experience. In a KGA academy no student will be labelled, we will treat them all as intelligent individuals. Through our ethos, our extended curriculum, our entrepreneurial approach and international dimension, we will ensure students develop into confident, rounded individuals, equipped for life in an ever changing world.

We pride ourselves on listening and responding to the needs of our partner schools and guarantee any school within KGA the opportunity to help shape the future development of our MAT. In a King’s Group Academy, pupils will be able to achieve their personal ambitions and academic goals, with the added advantage and motivation of working alongside peers from other King’s schools around the world.

At KGA our aim is to build clusters of excellence, blending the best of British education with the experience and success gained in our international King’s Group schools. We see staff as our most valuable resource and our innovative approach to CPD enables them to fulfil their career potential, as well as prepare our pupils for a successful future.

King’s Group was founded nearly 50 years ago by Sir Roger Fry and includes nine outstanding schools both abroad and in the UK. With this excellent foundation, King’s Group Academies has been invited by the DfE to develop a MAT and use the expertise of our team to build and provide ongoing support to small networks of outstanding academies.

We share a determination to make a positive difference to the future of our young people, their families and the wider community, as well as to the careers of our staff. This is your invitation to join us.
