THE ROLE
We are looking to appoint a well-qualified Business Manager to provide strategic development, leadership and management at school level for all aspects of financial and budgetary management, human resources, site management, health & safety, catering, general administration and all other ‘non-teaching ‘ operational support. As the leading support staff professional, you will provide advanced theoretical, practical and procedural knowledge on all matters relating to finance and business services to support the Headteacher, senior staff and the Governing Body.
You will be responsible for the business and financial management of all the school, including the provision of monthly accounts, income generation, purchasing policy and achieving “best value” from available resources and be a member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic planning and decision making to ensure that the school makes the best use of the resources available.
ABOUT YOU
You will have good knowledge of accounts, computerised financial information systems, spreadsheets and databases and previous School Business Finance Management/Bursar experience, including knowledge of the ESFA Academy Handbook and statutory guidance. You will be ICT literate and have sound knowledge and experience of financial ledgers – sales, purchase and nominal, credit control, reconciliations, journal processing and up to date knowledge and experience of legislation relating to HR and site management.
