Business Studies and Economics Teacher

Lampton School is a large, mixed, multi-ethnic 11-18 school. We were judged as "Outstanding" in all categories by Ofsted in 2005, 2008, 2013 and 2024. We are the lead school for the London West Alliance and Teach West London, and we are a teacher training partner with the University of Roehampton. As a member of the Hounslow Education Partnership we can offer staff excellent opportunities for professional learning and career progression.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic and inspiring teacher of Economics and Business Studies to join the very popular Business and Economics departments. Economics is taught in the Sixth form, with two groups in both Y12 and Y13. We study Edexcel Economics A. The Business Studies department has OCR GCSE cohorts in years 10 and 11 and we offer BTEC Business Diploma at Sixth form. Students make very strong progress across all courses.

We would welcome applications from teachers with QTS, QTLS or those who are unqualified but with some proven experience. Very good support is given to ECTs and those training to teach in the school. As a Teaching School, we have extensive experience of training teachers to Qualified Teacher Status.

Currently there are five experienced staff teaching across Economics and Business Studies. This post has arisen due to a member of staff securing a job abroad. The team have their own office space and access to a range of resources. Economics is taught in our purpose-built sixth form centre.
