A business studies / economics teacher is required to join a ‘good’ thriving secondary school in Surrey. The successful secondary trained teacher will benefit from teaching at a school with advanced technology, specialising in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects. Each student has access to their own iPad in every lesson, allowing learning to be a digitally enhanced and interactive experience. The business studies teacher is initially required from February 2017 until end of term, however there is the opportunity of becoming permanent from September 2017. A highly competitive salary is on offer, in addition to excellent learning and development opportunities.

About the Role:

  • Full-time secondary business studies teacher / economics teacher
  • Planning and delivering lessons in accordance to the curriculum
  • Support from competent teaching assistants available every day
  • Competitive salary of £140 - £170 per day (depending on experience)
  • Temporary contract until the end of the school year – possibility to become permanent from September 2017
  • Extra-curriculum opportunities

About You:

In order to be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree
  • Previous experience within a secondary classroom teaching Business Studies and / or Economics (proven by reference)
  • Be eligible to work in the UK (must have a valid visa to apply)
  • Have a positive approach to inclusive practice with children and colleagues alike
  • Hold a valid DBS/police checks if applicable
  • NQTs, experience teachers and overseas teachers welcome to apply
  • Recent UK classroom based references
