Business & Economics Teacher

The position will commence in August 2022, the initial contract will be for a period of two

years, and the contract isrenewable. The overarching responsibility for all teachers is to ensure that students under their care learn well and achieve their potential.

This role involves teaching Business Management and Economics.   This may involve teaching classes at IBDP,A/AS level and/or IGCSE.

In order to fulfil thisresponsibility, teachers will: 

• teach students in a way that enables them to achieve highstandards of learning 
• contribute towards the provision of a dynamic, creative international learning

environment 

• actively participatein thedevelopmentof the school . 
• undertake long, medium and short term planning to ensureappropriate curriculum

coverage according to therequirements of the International Baccalaureate, The

Cambridge A level programme or the Cambridge IGCSE programme. 

• take responsibility for preparing students for examinations in the above curricula as

well as Internal Assessment in the caseof IBDP teaching. 

• ensure that student learning in classes is monitored, appropriately assessed and that

the results of such assessment are used to enhance learning 

• regularly report progress of students to parents 
• undertake the role of a Homeroom teacher if required 
• actively participatein therange of extra-curricular activitiesand programmes that

take place outside the regular school day 

• take part in designated school events, as defined by the school calendar 
• undertake any other reasonable task that school leadership deems to be appropriate
