Thornaby Academy is part of Teesside Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust which was established on 1st September 2016. Teesside Learning Trust is comprised of two Primary Academies in Redcar and Cleveland, and two Secondary Academies, Thornaby Academy in Stockton and Freebrough Academy in Redcar and Cleveland.

Led by a strong and effective Board of Trustees, Teesside Learning Trust is ambitious for all of our students and is keen to establish itself as a centre of excellence in the North East region. Students benefit from the resources and expertise across the four schools within the Trust and we are in a great position to develop a smooth and seamless transition between primary and secondary schools for our students. At Thornaby Academy we are looking to appoint an ambitious teacher to join our committed and motivated Business and Enterprise faculty to contribute to our journey to outstanding. 

Candidates should have knowledge and experience in teaching their subject area at key stage 4 and key stage 3 is preferable. The candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning and be able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will have the skills and determination to make a difference to the lives of young people.

Staff at the Academy work closely and effectively together to support and guide our young people to be proud of who they are and to be the best that they can be.
