About the position

We are now seeking a Campus Manager (Deputy Principal) to join our Gold Coast campus in a full-time capacity. The Campus Manager role is pivotal in the development and success of the AITC Industry Education System (1 School, 1 System, 1 Way. Campus Managers uphold campus culture day to day and are responsible for the operational standards and outcomes at their assigned campuses. 

In this hands-on role, the Campus Manager will work with all campus employees to lead academic industry-driven curriculum, young person wellbeing, and the co-curricular program of the campus. They will operate collaboratively within the AITC education and College leadership structures to provide strong, effective coaching and operational leadership.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Be accountable for the health and safety of those under your direction (on campus and off site), maintaining safety as the ‘first thought’.
  • Impart wisdom, promote a culture of success and celebration, dispel complacency and mediocracy
  • Lead the development and daily delivery of academic and co-curricular industry relevant programs of excellence
  • Emphasise and celebrate individual young person successes in both education and pathway to the world of work
  • Manage curriculum compliance to meet external requirements and ensure best practice
  • In partnership with the AITC Education Leadership Team plan, develop, and implement strategies to address operational effectiveness, innovation, and opportunity based on evidence gathered from a range of available data sources

Skills and experience

  • The following qualifications and experience are essential for this position: 
  • Queensland College of Teachers registration
  • Depth of knowledge of senior secondary education and industry education programs, including vocational education and apprenticeships.
  • Demonstrated effective coaching and leadership skills with the ability to achieve business and industry outcomes
  • A commitment to Industry Engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage people and resources within a system and team context to achieve objectives
  • A high level of communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Current knowledge of legislative obligations applicable to Equity and Diversity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery
  • Ability to demonstrate the AITC values
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Current drivers’ licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in relevant senior educational leadership
  • Master's degree in Education or evidence of continual learning
  • Industry exposure or experience
