Fortis Academy is sponsored by Shaw Education Trust. We are based in north Birmingham and have a large, diverse and vibrant community of students. We have a well-established and very successful Sixth Form.
We pride ourselves on our strong ethos which values inclusion, good citizenship, mutual respect and collaboration. Our large and established Sixth Form, which is rated as ‘Good’ by OFSTED, specialises in providing high quality Level 3 qualifications and Level 3 ‘applied general’ qualifications. Year on year we are getting more students into the top Russell Group universities and are significantly exceeding the national average in doing so. The breadth of subjects offered provides both our students and our staff with great development opportunities.
