Broadlands Academy is an 11-16 learning community and proud to be part of Academies Enterprise Trust family of schools. We are a small, mixed, fully inclusive comprehensive school taking children from ages 11 to 16 and remain one of the best choices for learning in the area. For every student who attends our Academy, we aim to raise their aspirations, broaden their horizons and promote a life-long love of learning. We are situated in extensive grounds and ideally located between Bath and Bristol. We benefit from a number of links with the local community and have an excellent reputation. We have a nursery on site, an SEN unit and run a Hospital Education and Reintegration Service.
We are looking for a casual Careers Advisor to join our friendly, hard-working team as soon as possible. Reporting to the Careers Lead you will help develop our Careers Strategy and develop exciting opportunities for our students. You will be responsible for taking a lead on employer and college engagement in order to develop new opportunities for our students. This may include employment, apprenticeship programmes. You will also take a lead on coordination of careers advice and guidance. You will be a driven and enthusiastic individual and will need to identify opportunities for students and manage the implementation of these projects in conjunction with the school, colleges, employers and families.
You will be confident in building relationships and professional networks and have a drive to succeed. Able to manage a number of projects simultaneously you will ensure our students access the very best opportunities and build a positive path for their future. All support, guidance and great future career prospects will be available to the successful candidate.
