Job overview

Tolworth Girls' School & Sixth Form is a World Class School with high expectations for students and staff. We are recruiting a professional and personable Careers Advisor, responsible for driving and delivering a first class careers service to students across the school.

Working predominantly with student’s age 11-16, you will be managing and coordinating a programme which includes careers education, access to careers information and careers guidance. This is in addition to providing opportunities for students to experience the world of work.

Our ideal candidate has worked in a similar role and holds a CEIAH qualification or is working towards this. You are confident to manage a network of agencies and service providers and work in partnership with school staff to support students and maximise their opportunities. You have excellent communication skills, are confident in a 1-2-1 and well as large groups and presentations. You are competent using the Microsoft suite including Outlook.

You are looking for a part-time post either 3 or 4 days per week and are happy to work flexibly to the needs of the school and our students.

This post is part-time either 3 or 4 days a week from 21.6 – 28.8 hrs. There is also 1 weeks holiday work which will support our exam results’ days in the summer and also school open evenings. 

The full time equivalent salary range is from £30,900 - £34,500. This gives an actual salary of between £16,500 - 24,500 per annum depending on hours and experience.
