London Academy of Excellence (LAE) is seeking to recruit an outstanding Careers and Development Manager. LAE is an Outstanding, heavily oversubscribed school located in the heart of Stratford, close to the Olympic Park and just two minutes from Stratford Station (zone 2/3), with excellent links to all parts of London.

LAE is the top-ranked sixth form provider in England to offer a full A level curriculum, according to the Sunday Times Parent Power Survey 2022. The school is particularly proud of its success in helping students from disadvantaged backgrounds to gain places at the finest universities in the UK and around the world. Over 1,200 of our alumni have progressed to Russell Group universities and over 120 to Oxford or Cambridge. 

The Careers and Development Manager is central to the school’s mission to advance the social mobility of its students. Reporting to the Headteacher, the Careers and Development Manager plays a key role in supporting existing students and alumni with independent advice regarding their employability and future career. The Careers and Development Manager will further develop LAE’s network of corporate partners and private donors, which already includes multinational financial institutions, other corporates and charitable foundations. 

Ideal applicants will have experience in either careers or development and will embrace the challenge of mastering a new discipline. The school would, particularly welcome candidates that reflect the diversity of its student community.
