SKINNERS’ ACADEMY– provides a world class education for boys and girls aged 11-19, in a modern state of the art building.
As Careers & Employability Leader, you will be an enthusiastic and qualified careers practitioner with experience supporting pupils to further their own careers management skills. Encouraging the exploration of different careers areas and varied careers pathways (including apprenticeships and university as part of the careers journey) is important.
To succeed in this role, you will be approachable, good with people, be a good communicator and confident public speaker. You will have a collaborative mindset and be ready to work alongside pupils, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff, outside agencies and Hackney Learning Trust’s careers collaborative (an excellent, supportive resource).
You will be poised to implement the existing careers syllabus and will be welcome to make changes as you deem appropriate. Our aim is to deliver a high quality programme of career-related learning, aligned to the national statutory Gatsby Benchmarks, so that every pupil in the school engages with career learning each year.
This is an exciting opportunity at an Academy where “careers” is considered integral in helping our pupils be the best they can and we look forward to receiving your application if you believe you can contribute to the Academy in this capacity.
