Exeter College is a large tertiary provider in the South West of England offering a wide-ranging curriculum provision from vocational and technical qualifications, through to A levels, adult learning, and apprenticeships programmes. We place high priority on preparing and supporting our learners for their next steps as part of their experience with the college and we see expert careers advice and employment insights as fundamental to this support and guidance.

 We are therefore delighted to share this opportunity to join the Teaching, Learning and Development team as a Careers and Employer Encounters Manager. This role will be pivotal in championing the importance of a responsive and meaningful careers education in a post-16 context, ensuring we meet the needs of our learners in preparing them for their next steps. The post will include responsibility for coordinating a range of high impact and meaningful work experience, industry placement and employer encounter opportunities for our learners. We are keen to hear from applicants who have a track record of building partnerships with external stakeholders and working with a range of employers to establish partnership working. The successful candidate will be passionate about the value of careers education in all its form and willing to work across a diverse range of curriculum areas. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work on your own initiative and have an inspirational approach to working with a range of stakeholders.
