This is a rare and exciting chance for an outstanding Caretaker to join a small team of staff at our brand new Purple Oaks Academy build in Northampton; the new building will be completed by the end of January 2018 on the site immediately next door to our Green Oaks Primary Academy. The successful Caretaker will be given the exceptional opportunity to contribute to the academies growth as well as any training, development and support needed throughout your employment. We are looking for someone who shares our values of providing a first class learning environment to ALL children despite their background!

The academy will be the latest addition to the Greenwood Academies Trust and will provide education for around 50 pupils in the first year, moving to full capacity of 100 pupils, from nursery to year 13, by 2022.

You will play an integral part of the site team and assist in ensuring that the environment (inside and out) is safe, well maintained and meets Health and Safety requirements. Duties will include premises management, maintenance, liaising with contractors and ensuring the security of the buildings and site.

You will have:

• a friendly and helpful manner
• the ability to work well under pressure
• practical high quality D.I.Y skills
• good understanding of Health and Safety
• excellent customer services skills
• an ability to work flexibly to meet academy demands.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and an interest in maintenance would be advantageous. This role will be a 7am start with flexibility of hours after this.
