Caretaker

Salary: Scale C (£15,613-£16,491)
Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks
Starting: As soon as possible

We are seeking a reliable, efficient and flexible person to work as a Caretaker to assist in maintaining the building, grounds and security at Thetford Academy.  The role holder will ensure proper maintenance and repairs are carried out promptly and efficiently. The successful candidate will be a team player who is willing to make a difference to the school and its facilities, and will ensure the site is secure, maintained and well presented at all times.

The Thetford Academy is a focused centre of learning, fuelled by the inspiring and committed members of staff. We provide a broad and high quality curriculum from Year 7 through to sixth form, designed to maximise the progress of all pupils. 

Most of our teaching takes place in our modern building, opened in September 2013 and fully kitted out with purpose-built classrooms, social and flexible learning spaces, and extensive sports facilities includig an outdoor gym and well-used playing fields. As well as our students, we often welcome community groups into the academy to make use of our facilities.
