Caretaker

40 hours per week -  All Year Round post

The West Somerset Academies Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for an efficient and proactive caretaker to join the company and contribute to a high quality caring environment for children.  This post is working across 2 schools based in close proximity to each other -  Danesfield Middle School and St Peter’s First school – both in Williton, West Somerset.

Your role will see you completing general maintenance and cleaning, ensuring all health and safety regulations are met and the school is fit for purpose at all times. You will also be liaising with external contractors when necessary, reporting any health and safety issues to SLT, key holding and being responsible for opening and or/closing the school.

What you'll need to succeed 

Previous experience of being a school caretaker would be an advantage, along with a general knowledge of health and safety and basic maintenance knowledge. 

The Role Requirements: 

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to on your own initiative

• Flexible attitude in accordance with the needs of the business

• To be prepared to undertake additional duties on request regardless of location within the organisation

• Follow company procedures at all times, to include meeting deadlines, and any other duties as required

• Full driving license is desirable.

Report any incidents considered to be a risk to company property or its’ employees.
