We are looking to appoint a Carpentry & Joinery Trainer/Assessor to our highly motivated and creative team.
A Carpentry & Joinery Trainer/Assessor is required to carry out workplace assessments, reviews and set action plans for apprentices, including SMART Targets and deliver on professional qualifications at Levels 2-3 including the embedding of Functional Skills. The successful candidate will be experienced in both Site and Bench environments and able to carry out assessments in accordance with awarding body requirements.
The role will also include IQA duties within an existing team and developing the College’s offer in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies. The post holder will be required to teach some apprenticeship groups in college.
Suitable candidates will hold a recognised assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) additionally a teaching qualification would be desirable, ideally the success candidate would be confident in all aspects of workplace assessment.
