At Merici College we have created a canteen based on a model of healthy eating and sustainability. The hospitality students contribute to the food produced for the students to purchase.


We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Canteen Assistant to join our dynamic and welcoming community. To be successful in this role, you will have experience in basic kitchen operations, as well as experience in working in busy kitchen environments, with responsibilities including stock control and general kitchen cleaning. Additionally, you will have had previous placement in a variety of kitchens with an understanding of short order meals, banquet food preparation and sandwich making. This role also requires the incumbent to be physically capable to carry medium weight items on a daily basis. Coffee and cashiering skills are preferable.

Please note that this is a part-time casual position commencing as soon as possible.

This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with CE policy.
