Patterdale Hall is a Residential Adventure Learning Centre, based in Glenridding on the shores of Lake Ullswater, which provides a variety of land and water based activities for school children and commercial clients. The Hall is part of Bolton School in Lancashire. 

Patterdale Hall is Bolton School’s Outdoor Pursuits Centre based in Glenridding, Cumbria. The Hall primarily offers courses to pupils from Bolton School and also offers residential and activity programmes to commercial clients.

The Hall is looking to recruit a casual Cook and a casual General Assistant to support the existing team at the Hall. 

The Cook is a position to cope with the demands of a 7 day a week Centre operation. We are keen that applicants have some previous experience in food preparation (and are confident in the kitchen), but additional training and support will be provided, including Basic Food Hygiene. The rate of pay for this position will be between £7.83 per hour and £8.84 per hour, depending on skills and experience. 

General Assistant. The position is a multi-functional role working in three main areas; Catering, Housekeeping and Evening Duty. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not essential, as an enthusiasm for the job and a ready smile is just as important as experience. The rate of pay for this position will be between £7.83 per hour and £8.84 per hour, depending on skills and experience. 

Hours are likely to be in the peak season (March to November), and at this time is likely to be approximately 14 hours a week, on a split shift rotation (likely to be over two days). We envisage some on-going hours throughout the year.
