CASUAL LECTURERS IN ENGLISH

Hours: Variable hours
Hourly rate of pay: £27.59 or £23.94 per hour (dependant on qualifications)

We are looking for inspirational and confident lecturers who are passionate about English, have good classroom management skills and are able to inspire our learners to achieve.
The focus of this role is to teach GCSE English. The team has responsibility for teaching the AQA English Language GCSE specification and Functional Skills English across the College. To support this, the team has dedicated resources and classrooms for teaching English.
We are looking for variable hours lecturers who wish to join us in delivering English to a range of students taking vocational qualifications. This will be to a variety of different sized groups and applicants should have relevant teaching experience in GCSE English and possess the following qualifications:
• Subject related degree or equivalent professional qualification
• A recognised teaching qualification
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade A*-C) or equivalent Level 2 qualification
• Minimum of Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in English
The ability to communicate, motivate and understand the needs of young learners is essential. A good knowledge of learning disabilities and/or difficulties is desirable.
