Please note that casual approval does not guarantee employment with Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn, though it makes you eligible to work casually as an Educator within Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn.

You will not be able to commence working until you go through the relevant recruitment process and accept an employment contract.

School Age Care (SAC), Unqualified Educator (primary school aged children), eligibility:

  • Must have completed First-Aid Certificate (must be current and active, within two months of expiry); and
  • Must have completed year 10; and 
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience working with children (desirable).


Selection Criteria:

  • A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision in the wider school community
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues and students
  • Applies experience, knowledge and training in planning, organising and achieving outcomes in time constraints
  • Initiative and the ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently, and have the flexibly to adjust to changing situations
