Applications are invited for the post of Catering Servery Assistant at The Royal Masonic School. Reporting to the Front of House Supervisor, this is an important role, working as part of a busy team to deliver a high standard of food for pupils, staff and guests alike. The team provide up to 1100 lunches five days per week, with breakfast and an evening meal required for our boarding community of 80+ over seven days.

In addition to catering for pupils, the department caters for a wide range of both school and external events ranging from working lunches and fork buffets to formal 4 course meals for up to 350 guests. 

The role is required 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.30am until 2.30pm (includes 30 minute unpaid break) term time. The post holder is also required to work an additional two weeks per year to cover residential commitments and private events during the school holidays; this is arranged by mutual agreement and paid separately.

RMS is a leading independent girls’ day/boarding School with 940+ pupils aged 2 to 18 and over 300 teaching and support staff, situated on a 200-acre parkland site near Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire. The Royal Masonic School for Girls is an independent school located on a 316-acre site in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Providing places to both boarding and day pupils, the school is an all-through institution educating pupils aged 2-18. 

Founded in 1789, the school was originally intended for use by the children of Freemasons. It is now non-denominational and has no restrictions on attendance. As an academically selective institution, the school require potential applicants to undergo formal or informal assessment before a place is offered.
