We have a unique opportunity for a dynamic folk musician to join us as a self-employed, part-time visiting ceilidh band coach within our music department.
The successful candidate will run our brand-new ceilidh band ensemble which we hope to launch in 2021 for our students. The coach would be expected to arrange music, run weekly term-time rehearsals, and prepare the ensemble for live performance opportunities.
The Music Department at the Royal Grammar School is active, energetic and very successful. Various concerts take place throughout the academic year, from small lunchtime recitals to larger events such as the House Music Competition, Spring Concert, Senior Carol Service, the Choral and Orchestral Concert, Jazz Concert, Battle of the Bands and others.
Salary: Self-employed rate of £23.50/per half hour teaching (£47.00 per 1-hour session per week).
This is a term time only engagement of 1-hour coaching per week (over one day a week).
