Millfield Prep School requires an inspirational and dynamic Cello Teacher from January 2019. 

Situated in beautiful grounds in Somerset, at Millfield Prep School there are approximately 425 pupils aged from 2 – 13 years. There are 150 boarders and five boarding houses. Day pupils come in from a wide catchment area of about a 20 mile radius.

There is currently half a day of teaching available and we would be looking for someone who could expand our number of cello pupils. There may be the opportunity for occasional extra work performing alongside pupils in school concerts/productions and an ability to accompany pupils would be advantageous. 

The post would be ideally suited to someone who has an interest and enthusiasm for teaching the 7-13 age range (from beginner to advanced) and who would be willing to coach ensembles and groups with a similar enthusiasm. 

We value our children’s first experience of music so are looking for an inspirational musician and teacher who can communicate their own passion for music to the next generation.

Whether it’s swimming in our 25-metre indoor swimming pool, playing golf on our 9- or 18-hole golf courses, playing on our numerous sports pitches or horse riding in our fantastic equestrian centre which features over 120 acres of hacking trails and a British Eventing (BE) cross-country course.
