Central IT Field Technician

We are looking for an individual with a logical approach to problem-solving and excellent organizational skills, to join the Central Trust Team as IT Field Technician. This role is critical to our Trust and will involve providing day-to-day support to the Central Trust team, whilst also providing technical support to other schools in the Trust. They will be responsible for responding to IT support requests in accordance with the helpdesk procedures and priorities. The candidate must ensure they deliver a high quality service to all users in line with the school’s service level agreements.

You will be the first point of contact for anyone who logs a support request within the central team. You must be approachable and conduct yourself in a professional manner. Once tickets are logged it is then your responsibility to resolve the issue or escalate to the correct person asap. You will also be required to offer extra support to our schools as and when required.

Within this role you will be required to provide both first line and second line support depending on what is needed. There will also be some travelling involved between the various schools.

The successful candidate will have a minimum two years IT technician or first / second line support experience. They will ideally possess a recognised academic qualification or experience appropriate to the role. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in working within the education sector.
