Job overview

The Bourton Meadow Education Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional CEO to lead our collaborative family of academies through the next phase of development.

The Trust are now looking to appoint a CEO who shares the values and ethos of Bourton Meadow Education Trust and with it our commitment to continuous and collaborative improvement of positive outcomes for all our pupils to help them achieve and maximise their potential.

Established in 2013, BMET academies are a network of high-achieving, non-selective schools with a clear goal: to ensure all pupils, regardless of their background or prior attainment, have access to high quality educational provision.

The Trust is a growing Trust and, in addition to its existing primary schools, has recently expanded to take on a further two primary schools in the Northamptonshire region. The Education Trust now has five primary schools and a Teacher training school. An underlying principle of the Trust is to preserve the uniqueness of all our schools with local autonomy where possible whilst demanding excellence at all times. Under the direction of a newly appointed CEO, the plan is now to grow and develop the Trust to at least 3000 pupils.

Applicants for the post will be able to evidence experience of operating at a senior level within an education environment, from a Primary school background. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to build key collaborative and strategic partnerships, maximising the opportunities available to the Trust . As a highly skilled communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to engage credibly and successfully build, lead and further develop key relationships with our Headteachers, Directors of the Trust, the DfE and other external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be innovative and a forward thinker, who will bring the drive, inspiration, and commitment to lead the future vision for the Trust and its stakeholders.

The CEO will continue to seek to grow with other Academies which wish to be part of a forward-looking, child focussed and locally defined MAT with a foundation of shared principles and ethos, high standards and values, and strong leadership.

This is an exciting time to join Bourton Meadow Trust as it grows and we require a dynamic and innovative leader who shares our ambition and commitment to excellence.

For an informal and confidential discussion about this exciting and unique opportunity please call Chris Gartner, from Hays Leadership, on 07595 646 645 or email to chris.gartner@hays.com
