The Pennine Trust is a vibrant and ambitious multi-academy trust of three primary schools and one secondary school educating over 1700 pupils in East Lancashire. The Trust was established in 2018 evolving from the successful collaboration between the four schools and their shared family values. With the planned retirement of its founding CEO, the Trust is seeking to appoint a new CEO. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide the strategic leadership that will sustain, develop and grow the Trust, improving the life chances of all its young people.
The Pennine Trust is a values-based organisation with the emphasis on the total development of each person and an unswerving determination that no one in its schools will be left behind. This is underpinned by core values of innovation, inspiration and inclusion. The Trust is a very special learning community filled with talented and creative staff and has delivered a positive transformation in every aspect of its work. Central to the Trust’s success is a team of talented, creative and reflective staff, who use and participate in educational research to drive improvement. The new CEO must share and live these values.
This is an outstanding opportunity for the new CEO to lead a very capable and highly committed group of headteachers and educational staff and an equally strong, dedicated Central Core Team and to take the Trust forward to its next phase of growth. Previous experience in education is not essential but you must have highly developed interpersonal skills with the determination and drive to embrace the ethos of the Trust’s school improvement programme and to grow the Trust.
This is an exciting time for the Trust and the new CEO. If you are an ambitious leader with the ability to plan strategically and translate that into effective operational practice, then this is an outstanding opportunity to lead the future development of the Trust. The successful candidate must be passionate about improving pupil’s life chances through the provision of the highest quality of education and have a proven track record of working at a strategic level as part of a senior management team implementing service improvement. You will be a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do attitude and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of audiences. You will have the creativity and vision to inspire and lead change together with the focus to ensure successful outcomes are reached. Importantly, you must be committed to the educational vision and values of the Trust.
