Our ultimate goal is for all students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to our global society at a high level in order to achieve high scores in the DP that lead to matriculation to universities of their choice, regardless of their family background or financial situation.

Authorized as an IB World School by the International Baccalaureate (IB), KIST was the first school in Tokyo and the Kanto region, and the second school in Japan, fully authorized to offer the three inquiry-based programmes: PYP, MYP and DP. The curriculum at KIST - as based on the IB programmes and the IGCSE - focuses on developing academic skills - with an emphasis on language and mathematics - that increase the chances for students to enter universities of their choice around the world, regardless of their family background or financial situation.
