We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and inspiring individual to the role of Chaplain. The Chaplain, through their work and witness, will contribute to the spiritual and pastoral care of all members of the school community. They will have a central role in implementing the school mission statement and work with the Assistant Headteacher over Faith and Community in leading and developing the Catholic life of the school. The Chaplain will nurture the faith and liturgical life of the school community. The Chaplain may also work with the Religious Education department where appropriate.

 

We are looking for applicants who have:

·      A strong knowledge of the Catholic faith and active participation in worship and delivery of worship

·      Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

·      Experience of leading prayer and worship

·      Experience of working with young people in an Educational setting

About Saint John Henry Newman Catholic College

Saint John Henry Newman Catholic College is a Catholic Secondary School located in Chadderton, Greater Manchester. It falls under the  Diocese of Salford.

The school was formed in 2011 from the amalgamation of St Augustine of Canterbury RC High School in Werneth, Oldham and Our Lady’s RC High School in Royton. The merged school was originally based over the two former school sites, but moved to a new building.
