St Paul’s is a selective Independent Day School for boys aged 13-18, occupying a superb 45-acre site on the south bank of the Thames, west of Hammersmith Bridge. St Paul’s School excels academically at both A level and GCSE, with some of the highest national scores, but it is the work beyond the curriculum that excites both students and teachers alike.
An Anglican priest is required to become Chaplain of St Paul’s School from September 2017. The ability to teach a curriculum subject to A Level and Oxbridge entrance levels is desired but not essential. The successful candidate will exercise pastoral responsibility for a community of over 2000 people who include those of all faiths and those with no faith. The successful candidate should have a strong academic background and be willing to contribute to the wider life of the School. Applications are equally welcome from those with experience of teaching and those without.
The School’s salary scale is substantially above the national scale and a subsidised accommodation scheme is available to eligible staff.

About St Paul's School
St Paul’s School was founded in 1509 and currently occupies a large site in Barnes, south-west London. A selective independent school, it provides an education for boys aged 7-18 and has boarding facilities for a small number of its students.
Prospective entrants are usually expected to pass online and/or written examinations across a range of subjects, as well as undergoing an interview with a senior member of staff. In order to improve accessibility for students from poorer backgrounds, a wide range of bursaries and scholarships are available for boys who reach the required academic standard.
