Full-Time – Permanent 52 weeks of the year (39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 10:30am to 7:00pm, Friday 11.30am to 7.00pm and only 1 weekend in 4)

During the summer months due to commercial activity hours may vary.

 

Are you a passionate and enthusiastic chef who wants to be part of an excellent catering team at Bishop Burton College? We provide 500 meals a day to our students and staff over a range of food outlets on the campus.

Bishop Burton College is one of the leading land-based Colleges in the UK. The hours reflect that we are a college, however we operate numerous commercial events throughout the year, so commitment during the whole year is essential. For example equine events, sporting events and residential conferences.


The role will involve:

  • Preparation, cooking & presenting dishes for students as well as commercial customers.
  • Contributing to team discussions for innovation to the food, drink and service offers.
  • Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Following Food Hygiene Regulations and all relevant Health and Safety Standards.
  • Promoting the hospitality service to existing customers.
