A full time, well-qualified and innovative teacher is required to lead the chemistry department at GCSE and A Level with shared responsibility for Year 7-9 science for September 2017.

Claremont Fan Court has a strong science tradition. You will be expected to demonstrate an effective teaching style and to have a sound knowledge of Year 7 to 9 science and Year 10 through to Sixth Form chemistry and a specific degree in the chemical sciences.

Standards in this department are high; iGCSE Chemistry achieved 80% A* to A grades this summer.

Curriculum leadership experience could be an advantage although aspiring leaders are also encouraged to apply. A strong degree and a teaching qualification are required along with relevant work experience. A willingness to contribute to the co-curricular and pastoral life of the School is essential.

Claremont Fan Court School is a thriving, successful co-educational day school for pupils from 2 1/2-18 years. It is situated just outside Esher, Surrey, only 16 miles from London and is set in 96 acres of historic landscaped grounds of the Claremont Estate.

The School consists of the Pre-Preparatory and Nursery School for pupils aged 3-7 years, the Preparatory School for pupils 7-10 years, and the Senior School for pupils from 11-18 years, each with its own Head.
