An exciting opportunity has become available working as part of the Science and Engineering team at Central London’s top performing college. You will be responsible for providing effective teaching, support and assessment to A Level and BTEC Level 2/3 learners in Chemistry.

To be successful in this role you will need to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant related subject, and hold a recognised teaching qualification. Successful candidates will have experience of teaching A Level Chemistry and BTEC Science. In addition, you will be able to employ a range of teaching strategies including E-Learning and prepare students for formal assessments and exams. 

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is learner focused and results orientated. The College has recently been graded ‘good’ by Ofsted and our outstanding department results contributed to this success. We are looking for someone who can contribute to moving the college to outstanding.

Westminster Kingsway College is a further education college in central London with centres in Camden and Westminster. It offers a huge array of academic and vocational courses for 16-18 year olds and adult learners, such as A-Levels, BTECs, Apprenticeships, Foundation Degrees, Access to Higher Education, employability training and short courses. It also offers bespoke training for employers and specialist programmes delivered in conjunction with the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy.

Westminster Kingsway is an award-winning provider of hospitality and culinary arts courses. For over a century it has been at the forefront of culinary arts education in the UK, providing UK restaurants with highly-skilled chefs, front-of-house staff and management. The college can count among its alumni Jamie Oliver, Ainsley Harriot and Selin Kiazim.

About Westminster Kingsway College

Westminster Kingsway College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college in the London Borough of Camden and the London Borough of Westminster, serving pupils from the age of 16 and above. The college has approximately 14,000 students on record every year.

Westminster Kingsway College was founded in 2000 after the amalgamation of Westminster College and Kingsway College. It has learning centres across London in King’s Cross, Regents Park, Camden, Victoria and Soho. It offers students a number of full and part time courses including A levels and vocational courses at Level 1, 2, and 3. The college provides training on behalf of a range of organisations, including South Bank University, Compass Limited, Travelodge, The British Council and Ministry of Defence.
