Chemistry Teacher with ability to Teach ICT

An exciting opportunity for a UK teacher to experience living and working in NZ. Pukekohe Christian School is nestled in the semi-rural area of Pukekohe, a one hour drive from Auckland and Hamilton. Majestic black sand beaches to the west and calm, golden sand beaches to the east are all within a 20 minute drive. Pukekohe Christian School teaches the International Cambridge Curriculum to Years 1-13, catering for children aged 5-18 with a total roll of 260 students. We have a strong school community within the busy and vibrant town of Pukekohe.

We seek a teacher for the following: AS and A Level Chemistry, AS and A Level ICT, IGCSE ICT and Year 9 Maths. The successful candidate will be the Year 7 form teacher and will be attending the Year 7 and 8 camp in Raglan in November 2017. Support with finding accommodation would be available and the successful candidate would join a motivated staff of enthusiastic teachers. As we are a small school, all our teachers teach a range of subjects and in this case a specialist Chemistry teacher is preferred. A full support and guidance programme will be provided and the successful candidate will find that the International Cambridge Curriculum is closely aligned with the UK curriculum.

Position to start 24th July, 2017 and will be fixed term, until end of term 2, 2018 or end of term 4, 2018, depending on the preference of the successful candidate. Salary based on experience, in line with NZ Ministry of Education salary guidelines. The successful candidate must be able to support the school’s Christian character.
