Technical support plays a vital role in the preparation and organisation of material for both lessons and project work. The technician will work alongside staff and pupils in this thriving department to coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities and provide assistance and advice in the practical needs of the science curriculum.
The successful candidate should have:
• Experience in Chemistry, Science or another relevant industry
• Experience within an educational setting or of delivering training to a team or individuals
would be an advantage
• A willingness to carry out all tasks as required with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude
• High expectations, setting and delivering high standards and commanding credibility through
your expertise
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with staff, students, and outside
agencies
• The ability to work well as part of a team and also on your own initiative
• The appropriate Health and Safety knowledge
• Good IT skills
