Uppingham School are seeking an experienced and organised science technician to provide technical and administrative support to the Chemistry Department. 

An integral member of the technical team, you’ll work closely with teachers, enabling them to deliver a first-class education and ensure that experimental work forms a key and central part of pupils’ chemistry lessons. Your main duties will include preparing experiments and demonstrations, overseeing the use, maintenance and stock keeping of apparatus and ensuring the compliance of safety procedures.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a science laboratory, with particular expertise in a Chemistry environment, as well as demonstrable knowledge of safe working practices within a laboratory.

Uppingham School is a mixed, Church of England independent secondary school with sixth form and boarding, located in Leicestershire. The secondary school, situated in Uppingham has approximately 791 students on record.
