NGS Global is the Executive Search firm acting on behalf of Education Services Australia (ESA).  ESA is the leading technology-based service provider for the education sector, and seeking to appoint a new Chief Executive, effective from January 2017. This role represents an outstanding opportunity for a high achieving General Manager or CEO who will deal with complex strategic, customer and operational challenges in a sector of major national importance. 

ESA develops and delivers national technology products and services to support the Australian school, higher education and vocational education and training sectors. Its work covers digital curriculum resource development and delivery as well as the provision of large-scale technology systems and enabling infrastructure.

The Chief Executive leads and manages the company, reporting directly to the Chair, and, ultimately, to the Board.  Role responsibilities cover the full range of duties expected of a Chief Executive of a stand-alone ministerially-owned company. These include promoting the corporate identity and performance of the Company through all levels of education, higher education and training and the wider community

High quality candidates could come from a range of backgrounds including government agencies and education technology providers. They will be able to demonstrate a proven record in leading a business, in responding to changing market and customer demands, setting a strategic direction, identifying business opportunities and driving change. Strong stakeholder management, knowledge of information technology and commercial capability is essential.
